Explore Beautiful Bike Trails In Florida: Century Ride From DeBarry to New Smyrna Beach

Updated: Sep 22, 2021

Take a look at our latest tour in which we did a century ride from DeBarry to New Smyrna Beach. We can’t wait for you to try out epic bike trails in Florida!

Florida offers a bit of cyclist heaven in terms of year-round biking weather, scenic biking routes that offer up the very best of nature’s beauty, and relatively flat stretches that make rides more pleasant. Many of the trails are family-friendly and some even have an educational spin in terms of historic significance.

The Ride Xperience team continues to share the love of adventure and cycling with locals and visitors to Orlando and offers rental and tour services to this end. Some of the major bike trails in Florida include the Florida Coast to Coast Trail, the Cross Seminole Trail, and the Spring to Spring Trail.

Referring to one of our favorite trails, the ride from DeBarry to New Smyrna Beach is such a great one that it’ll even get the couch potato off the couch and off the potato chips. It’s interspersed with a variety of tree dense tunnels, sunny stretches, and even views of the beach. A fairly flat trail, this route makes for a great choice for the novice, the intermediate and for the experienced - the riders with the bike, the helmet and the determination to put foot to pedal for a first century ride (100 miles or more).

Midway, you can enjoy a pleasant break, grab some snacks and drinks from the honesty tent set up by kind residents and catch a breather should you find you’re out of breath. It offers a bit of a breather in seclusion, roughly 25 miles from start and finish points.

Cyclists really do get to enjoy nature on this tour since more than 90% of this nature ride is

made up of bike trails. New Smyrna Beach offers a variety of great options for lunch and beautiful vantage points as a reward for having completed over half your century ride. You can check the full experience video, here.
